1. What is specialty coffee? 

A. Specialty coffee is nothing but the coffee brewed directly from roasted coffee beans. It is usually defined as highest grade of coffee available and score above 80 points on the standardised grading scale. 

2. How is this specialty coffee different from instant coffee? 

A. Instant coffee is made from coffee beans an is readily soluble in water. Instant coffee can me manufactured from high grade beans but most of the instant coffee available in the market is usually manufactured form low grade beans. Specialty coffee on the other had is not readily soluble in water. You usually need a filter to separate the coffee granules from water once a cup of specialty coffee is brewed. 

3. Why is specialty coffee costly? 

A. Specialty coffee is usually not very costly. Being high quality, it renders superior taste to your coffee routines. If you compare per gram cost of specialty coffee and instant coffee, the slightly higher price point of specialty coffee gives you manifold improvement in taste compared to an instant coffee available at scale. 

4. What is roasted coffee? 

A. Coffee beans are usually roasted before consumption because the process of roasting brings out distinctive flavours, complexity and balance in coffee beans. 

5. What is cold brew?

A. Simple. Cold brew is a brewed coffee that is prepared by immersing ground coffee beans in cold water for 12-18 hours. This process slowly dissolved coffee granules in water and gives the brew a unique and flavourful taste. 

6. How is cold brew consumed? 

A. You can consume cold brew directly with ice. You can also add cow milk or oat milk to it and experiment with.
